We are excited to announce that our reviews have now received more than 5M total views on Google Maps and we decided to visit Urban Egg for our first review after reaching that threshold!
We read their mission statement both before and after our meal and have to admit that there is some real consistency between their words and their actions. Pursuing ideals including offering “America’s Best Breakfast” is a serious statement and these are some serious people.
The “honest ingredients”, the “innovate and flavorful presentations”, and the “genuine, sincere and authentic hospitality” were all featured during our visit.
While perusing the menu presented some challenges (because there were so many dishes to be interested in), a determining factor that we found helpful was any dish offering “Colorado Proud Eggs.” I mean, how can you ignore that statement?
All of our meals were quite good and we’d highly recommend adding the enchilada sauce and/or the green chili sauce to your meal selection. They both have excellent flavors that include a slightly sneaky spiciness.
Offered as a side dish, our Review Team was surprised at how flavorful the Chicken and Apple sausage was.
I don’t recall ever commenting on a breakfast bread item before, but their “Texas Toast” style offering was nothing to be overlooked.
Speaking of not being overlooked, their caffeinated offerings were all good (including their Hazelnut cold brew and Chai tea).
For all of our San Diego peeps, Broken Yolk is good, but this place is significantly better.
