Holiday traditions vary widely by family, but no matter how your fam chooses to celebrate Christmas, you’ve probably become rather attached to the traditions that you’ve established.
A new family Christmas tradition that we’ve just begun (and hope to continue) is visiting the iconic Broadmoor Hotel in “The Springs” during this time of year.
If you’re able to get here soon you might still be able to enjoy their “Gingerbread Lightning Bug” creation which, amongst other ingredients, contains 958 pounds of powdered sugar and required approximately 308 “Elf Hours” to complete. For risk of being placed on Santa’s naughty list, I cannot tell a lie. Therefore, I confess that I have absolutely no idea what the Elf/Human Hours Conversion Rate is, but that’s nearly 40 typical “human” workdays! 🤯
If you’re looking for a little treat while strolling around their spacious grounds, we’d recommend “Cafe Julie’s” for a little coffee/tea or a sweet treat.
