Credit scores. We’ve come to assign them quite a bit of importance haven’t we? Perhaps recently you’ve even seen commercials that claim they can immediately raise your credit score. Well at Henry’s Take we claim no ability to raise your credit score, but we do believe that we can help you immediately raise your social status score by several points.
Seneca Trattoria was referred to us by @daphae11 and just being seen there made our Review Team feel like our social status was elevated to the next tier (which means we’re no longer on the lowest rung of the ladder 😉).
Located on the roof of the Intercontinental Hotel, the vibe there feels exclusive and actually reminds us of a speakeasy. Getting a table won’t be easy because the most valued reservation slots are booked well in advance. Also, you may want to leave a trail of bread crumbs behind you as you utilize 2 different elevators, separated by the hotel lobby on the 3rd floor, only to exit into a small space on the 19th floor (in near darkness and with no signage). If you correctly navigate the labyrinth required you’ll be treated to a wonderful meal (and near 360 degree views of San Diego).
There are indoor (and mostly outdoor) seating options, but the total number of tables is limited. The decor was compared to a “1920’s Italian cruise ship” by one of our Review Team Members and be warned that the menu options are pricey.
Although the music isn’t a distraction, it doesn’t seem to match the restaurant vibe and was described as “confusing” by one of our Review Team Members.
Finally, and for the first time ever, we wanted to include a comment about the restrooms in our review. Why you ask? Copper toilets people! ‘Nuff said. 🤯
