Red Leg Brewing Company

You ever wanna beer and think to yourself, “What could be better than getting a beer with family and/or friends?” Well we have a suggestion for you: how about saying “Thank you for your service” while enjoying that brewsky?

A loyal follower (who preferred not to be identified) recommended that we visit “Red Leg” and we gleefully obliged. This veteran-owned and operated production brewery was founded on the 4th of July (2013) and how could this story be written any other way?

Their name “Reg Leg” derives from Civil War battles where artillery soldiers were adorned with a red stripe on their pant legs to identify their position on the battlefield.

Well we can report that no battles were required to convince us to sample their seasonal “Thin Mint Stout.” This beauty is here today, but gone before you know it. The whip cream and chocolate syrup are optional, if those additions feel like subtractions to you. Don’t ask me how, but this beer smells and tastes like the thin mints you are thinking of (but I shouldn’t name without permission). 🤐

While no food is served here, there are food vendors a mere steps away and they are allowed to bring your meal into Red Leg.

All of this AND views of “America’s Mountain” (Pikes Peak)? Y’all need to get here “on the double!” 😉

And that’s…Henry’s Take.
