Have you ever arrived at Petco Park for a Padres game early enough to see them open the gates to let the fans in? Well if you have, then you’ve seen them run in differing directions. Some position themselves in left field in the hopes of snagging a batting practice home run ball. Others hurry in an attempt to beat the food lines prior to them forming. Well if you’re more inclined to identify with the latter, you ought to consider scampering to any of the other food options before Hodad’s. While @hodads1904 has earned its well deserved local burger legend status, their Petco Park location has been significantly downgraded from prior years. The lines have become uncharacteristically tolerable for a reason. The days of multiple burger options that can be customized are over. They’ve opted for a more cafeteria style model now. Their very limited menu options are mass produced and completely void of any burger, fries, or onion ring souls. While we wouldn’t recommend an all out boycott of Hodad’s at this time, we would recommend that you explore other dining options while at Petco first. As in explore ALL of the other dining options first.
And that’s…Henry’s Take.
