When planning our trip to the Oregon Coast I did expect to discover a beautiful and rugged shoreline.
But some of the things I didn’t expect were the seriously chodie starfish…the seals so close to the shore…the horses strolling on the beach…how popular outdoor plumbing is here…the mystery of discovering about a dozen dead birds on a single beach…and how just how many caves there are to explore.
I knew that driftwood was a thing here, but I wasn’t expecting to meet a local artisan shaping his creations.
Lastly, and this part is particularly for the guys out there, I wasn’t expecting how cold it can get here even in July, so when your wife recommends packing some long pants and a sweatshirt…maybe listen to her this time.
Ahhh, Oregon. You are full of surprises.
