So we’ve found ourselves in mid-May of ‘22. How did we get here so fast? I mean, weren’t we just professing our New Year’s Resolutions…like just yesterday? Anyone out there resolve to exercise more? Well if you did, and you’re still finalizing how you’re gonna accomplish that, we’d suggest that you consider a “fun run.” Maybe just think of it as a social event (minus all the sharp elbowing at the start of an elite race). If this is something you’d consider trying then we present the Navy Bridge Run as an option for you. Crossing the iconic Coronado Bay Bridge, and benefiting the brave men and women in this branch of the military, they’ve achieved a really nice combo of athletic event, plus social connectedness, plus outstanding venue. @navybridgerun begins near the East Village, winds through Barrio Logan, traverses the Coronado Bay Bridge, and concludes in a park on Coronado Island. Please be aware that it is tradition (enforced by a local ordinance), that you yell “Baxter!!! 😭 when crossing an exact portion of the bridge (not true). For any of you who can cite that reference you will receive a complimentary “Henry’s Take” t-shirt (also not true). If you are disappointed in your New Year’s Resolution compliance efforts thus far this year, then break out your calendars and circle May 2023. Our team hereby commits to toeing that start line with you so start training for this run/walk event pronto!
And that’s…Henry’s Take.
