This little gem deserves your attention if you’re ever in town. The HD Tavern offers a nice selection of (mainly) hot dog choices and a great (seemingly permanent) “special” on PBR. Great business plan, right? Hot dogs and inexpensive PBR. For sure a simple recipe for success.
A few things to know before your visit: the owner is super friendly and remains quite loyal to the great city of Chicago, so count how many “Windy City” connections you can find on the walls and inside. The correct number is…🤐.
Partake of the big wheel with caution. Sure you could win a free drink, but you could also “win” an opportunity to buy a round for a stranger or be required to wear a silly hat (both results were witnessed by our Review Team during our visit). BTW, posing with the Chicago Bear is optional.
