Based solely on how dramatic the marble rye bread appeared, my expectations for this meal were sky high. Sadly those expectations were nowhere close to being realized. The corned beef included in this Ruben wasn’t lean and the sauerkraut seemed insulted to be associated with this sandwich and brought it’s considerable powers to bear when doing everything possible to contradict the other flavors invited to the party. The Black IPA and live Rockabilly band did their best to distract me from my disappointment, but alas only the fries were successful in accomplishing that. I’ve had better experiences here in the past, so I’ll be back to provide an opportunity for redemption.
