Thanks to @odez1 our website design is coming along nicely and once it goes live you’ll see that our tag line is “Food and experience reviews…for the witty traveler.” If you’ve ever visited the DMV how could describe that as anything less than an “experience?” Seems to fit, no? 🤷♂️
The reason for our visit was to obtain a “REAL ID.” That’s correct ladies and gentlemen, apparently the driver’s license that you’ve been carrying in your purse or wallet is “fake.”
This seemed like a rather odd name for this next gen form of identification, so we decided to do a little homework on the suggested names that didn’t make the cut.
The unsuccessful candidates include the: “For Reals ID”, “Yes, I’m 21 Badge”, “This Is Me ID”, “Real Deal ID”, “Reel ID”, “REALLY??? ID”, and the “Keeping It Real ID.”
As for our visit, it was extremely smooth. We made an appointment (note to self: yeah, remember to do that) and were in and out in 21 minutes (including paperwork, vision test, and picture). After checking in we received a text to let us know our place in line, and another later to tell us when it was our turn and which window to go to. All 4 staff members we interacted with were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.
While this post is generally positive in nature, there’s a chance that someone’s license is about to be suddenly suspended. If that occurs we’ll be forwarding a shared Google Doc as we’ll need y’all to take turns driving us to our review locations for a while. 🤞
