“I can’t cook a Thanksgiving Dinner. All I can make is cold cereal and maybe toast.”

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Chuck and I have this in common. I bask in the glory of preparing a great “meal” when I microwave a bag of popcorn unassisted. 😃💪
Obviously this presents culinary challenges for me during this season. Fortunately, while Thanksgiving is accompanied by many traditions and patterns that can vary widely from family to family, some patterns do tend to emerge. Some contribute by preparing the meal, some contribute by cleaning up after the meal, and some contribute by developing the most effective shopping strategy in search of the best holiday bargains! It was while on a Review Team shopping safari that we happened upon a series of food trucks that were just daring to be sampled.
If your Oregon shopping team is in need of a little refueling, you should consider the Breakside Food Trucks located at the corner of SW Farmington and SW Angel in Beaverton.
They have managed to squeeze a surprisingly wide range of options into a fairly limited space including pizza, burgers, salads, sushi, poke bowls, gyros, sandwiches, and tacos.
Personally I’m a sucker for food items with names that seem to dare me to try them, so no thought was required when a team member suggested someone try the “Quad Beast Burger.” Uh, challenge…accepted!
Not only was I pleased with how my 4 story burger tower tasted, but the “Potato Taquitos” and “Poke Bowl” also elicited satisfied smiles from their recipients.
Covered and outdoor patio seating is available (including around both fire tables), and leashed dogs are welcomed. There is no adjoining parking lot, so you may have to do a little searching for a spot on the street.
And that’s…Henry’s Take.
Editor’s Note: Not to worry, our Thanksgiving dinner was not provided by a series of food trucks. 😉
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
