“Boots in the Park” is a wonderful collection of concerts roaming various locations. Although the artists will vary, the quality of the experiences doesn’t seem to.
We were invited to attend the San Diego stop on this “tour” by @daphae11 and @ambermchristman. Both of them are Boots in the Park “veterans” and their recommendations proved to be well deserved.
To refer to Boots in the Park as a “concert” would likely be a misnomer. This is more like a music festival. After 9 consecutive hours of music, what else should it be called? There were 6 “headliners” (with a sprinkling of opening acts and a DJ performing between each live performance). Although we witnessed a quite public marriage proposal (and beer pong) on stage, that is NOT guaranteed for all future performances!
Although the quality of the performances was consistently noteworthy (Jameson Rodgers and Dustin Lynch were particularly excellent), once Tim McGraw took the stage he facilitated a clinic for how to entertain a crowd. You didn’t have to be a Country Music fan to appreciate his prowess!
Willing to consider giving @bootsinthepark a try in San Diego? Well then listen up! It was announced this evening that the next offering will feature Carrie Underwood as the major headliner on April 1, 2023.
Yep, you guessed it. You’d be a “fool” to not consider being there.
And that’s…Henry’s Take.
