Recommended to us by @daphae11, Birba is a force that demands to be reckoned with. Wow, what a collection of flavors! 🤯
They offer mostly outdoor seating and reservations are strongly recommended. We arrived just 30 minutes after their opening on a Tuesday night (without a reservation) and were informed that our wait would be 2+ hours for a table.
Thankfully, their bar seating required no wait time and offered a full menu. This ended up being a fortuitous outcome as this permitted us the opportunity to observe the many locals that frequent this establishment. They certainly added to the local “flavor” here.
As an appetizer we’d recommend “Nonna’s Spicy Meatballs.” Don’t be afraid, their level of spiciness shouldn’t scare anyone away, and when coupled with their homemade pane bread, this combo is genius.
While I literally felt guilty ordering the “Tutto Carne Pizza” (doing so just made me feel so low brow in a place that feels this sophisticated), I didn’t regret that choice for a second. Although I still claim that “I’m not a bread guy,” the crust was simply unbelievable.
If you order the “Spaghetti Pomodoro”, please consider subbing in the zucchini noodles. Def worth thinking outside of the box. 👍
While we already thought our meal was outstanding, the “Salted Butterscotch Pudding“ brought the entire experience to an entirely new echelon. 😋
We found their customer service to be outstanding and their musical choices to match their upscale vibe perfectly (both in volume and song/genre selection).
This is absolutely a great date night destination!
