ArtWalk Carlsbad

Has it been “a week?” You need a little dose of Cali chillin? No worries, we gotcha covered.

The 3rd Annual ArtWalk Carlsbad is going on this weekend and we found it to be unexpectedly useful in creating a terrific chill type vibe. Featuring the creations of more than 150 artists, you’ll find a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, glass work, jewelry, photography, and more. Located on Armada Drive (above the flower fields off Palomar Airport Road) the ocean views (and breezes) are complimentary. Admission is also free.

Our Review Team for this visit was made up of some pretty goal oriented people so when arrived we found ourselves enjoying each exhibit, but maybe a little too focused on seeing everything (rather than focusing on just being present). That all changed once we hit the live music stage. Hearing @tomgriesgraber glide across the Chapman Stick made further progress impossible. We had to stop and marvel at one song (which became many songs). The next thing we knew a cold beer appeared and the Pacific Ocean breeze seemed to envelope us. Although we lacked the medical equipment to verify this, we are confident that our blood pressure and pulse both decreased while our joy meter experienced a dramatic upswing. You just kinda had to be there.

Too late you say? Not hardly. This whole scene performs an encore tomorrow (10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). If you’re in need of some Cali chillin we strongly suggest you give this a try.

And that’s…Henry’s Take.
